• Bending Strength Test (MOR &MOE):
  This test measures the plywood's ability to withstand bending forces. A sample is placed on supports and subjected to increasing load at its centre until it fails through the UTM machine. The load at failure is recorded, and the modulus of rupture (MOR) as well as the modulus of elasticity (MOE) is calculated.
• Tensile Strength Test:
  The tensile strength test in plywood is a laboratory test used to determine the plywood's ability to withstand tensile forces, which are forces that pull or stretch the material apart. A sample is subjected to increasing load until it fails. The load at failure is recorded, and the tensile strength is calculated.
• Shear Strength Test:
  This test measures the plywood's resistance to shear forces through the UTM machine and measures the strength of the bond between the plywood layers. A sample is subjected to increasing load until it fails. The load at failure is recorded, and the shear strength is calculated.
• Water Resistance Test:
  This test assesses the plywood's ability to resist the separation of the layers in the boiling water for more than 72 hours and it is tested through a Thermostat Water Bath.
• Nail & Screw Withdrawal Test:
  This test measures the plywood's ability to hold screws or nails. A screw/nail is inserted into the plywood, and the force required to withdraw it is measured. The screw/nail withdrawal resistance is calculated based on the force required.
• Mycological Test:
  Mycological testing in plywood refers to the evaluation of the material's resistance to fungal growth and decay. This type of testing is essential to ensure the plywood's durability and performance in various environmental conditions.
• Surface finish Assessment:
  The surface finish assessment evaluates the plywood's surface quality, smoothness, and appearance.
• Emission Testing:
  Emission testing of formaldehyde in plywood measures the amount of formaldehyde released from the plywood into the air. Formaldehyde is a common adhesive used in plywood manufacturing, and it can emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that can affect indoor air quality.
• Fire Retardant Testing:
  Fire retardant testing of plywood evaluates the material's ability to resist ignition, spread of flames, and sustain structural integrity when exposed to fire.
• Preservative Treatment Assessment:
  Preservative testing of plywood through indicator solution ensures all layers of the plywood are adequately treated with preservatives to prevent infestations from termites, borers, and pinhole borers.
